Samagi Jana Balawega’s Ratnapura District Member of Parliament Mrs. Talatha Athukorala announced today (21) in Parliament that she has decided to resign from her position.Sri Lanka Latest News

Talatha Athukorala is the sister of Mr. Gamini Athukorala, who was a leader of the United National Party.

She was first elected to Parliament in 2004.

Also, in 2010, 2015 and 2020 general elections, she won from Ratnapura district and was elected to Parliament.

In 2020, she was elected to Parliament from the Samagi Jana Balavega by getting 45,105 votes from Ratnapura district.
