He mentioned this while connecting online to a religious lecture held at a festival hall in Mirihana area this afternoon.
A video related to a statement made by Pastor Jerome Fernando circulated on social media and it became a hot topic in the country with various parties accusing the statement of insulting Buddha and other religious beliefs.
Accordingly, the Criminal Investigation Department has started an investigation into his statement, and the court has also imposed a foreign travel ban.
An investigation is also underway regarding his assets.
In such a background, he had previously posted a note on his social media that a religious lecture will be held today (21) at the Miracle Dome Convention Center in Katunayake.
However, he had canceled the meeting and had made a note that it would be held in Dehiwala after that.
But that too was cancelled, and later arrangements were made to hold the relevant religious sermon at a place in Mirihana.
Pastor Jerome Fernando participated in the religious sermon online.
There he said that he will definitely come to Sri Lanka and his lawyers are making further arrangements in that regard.
