Party Leaders Confirm No Return for Former MPs Who Joined Government
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The leadership of the party has reportedly decided not to welcome back several former MPs who were originally elected from the Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) but later crossed over to the government in exchange for privileges, positions, and ministerial roles.

It has been observed that some of these individuals, who had previously criticized Sajith Premadasa and the SJB after aligning with the government, are now attempting to send feelers through various channels, expressing a desire to rejoin the party.

However, in a meeting held yesterday, the party’s electoral organizers took a firm stance, recommending that Hareen Fernando, Manusha Nanayakkara, Rajitha Senaratne, and Talatha Athukorala should not be allowed to return to the party.

As a result, it is reported that party leaders have made a final decision not to reinstate any of these individuals.
