Opposition Leader Gayantha Karunathilaka today moved a motion in Parliament to observe a minute’s silence in memory of those affected by the recent disaster, Sri Lanka Latest News reports.
As the motion was presented, the Speaker attempted to interject, saying, “Mr… Mr. MP…”. However, immediately after Mr. Gayantha Karunathilaka moved the motion, all Members of Parliament stood in agreement and observed a minute’s silence.
