On July 29, 2022, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Umar Farooq Burki, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Sabry.
The Foreign Minister spoke about the growing bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, as well as his satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation in a variety of areas. They resolved to strengthen two-way ties by increasing people-to-people contacts.
The Minister praised the Government of Pakistan for its unwavering and consistent support during difficult times on numerous regional and international platforms.
