Pakistan has stepped forward in solidarity with Sri Lanka as the island grapples with the devastation caused by Cyclonic Storm Ditwah. The Pakistan Navy vessel PNS SAIF, currently docked at the Colombo Port, has handed over urgently needed relief supplies and donations for flood-affected communities. The consignment was officially received through the Sri Lankan Navy, marking yet another chapter of friendship between the two nations.

In an official message, the Government and people of Pakistan conveyed their heartfelt sympathies to Sri Lankans enduring severe weather and unprecedented rainfall. Islamabad reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the longstanding bond shared with Colombo—one rooted in mutual respect and history.

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Major General (Retd) Faheem-ul-Aziz, expressed confidence in Sri Lanka’s resilience, noting that the nation has the strength and courage to rise again from this tragedy.

The message comes as Pakistan continues its assistance efforts, highlighted by the relief consignment delivered through PNS SAIF, reinforcing Pakistan’s steadfast support during Sri Lanka’s hour of need.
