Sevanagala, Sri Lanka – A large-scale protest was held yesterday morning (26) by sugarcane farmers in the Sevanagala area.
According to reports, more than a thousand sugarcane farmers took part in the demonstration.
The protest was organized to voice four specific demands put forward by the farming community.
