A group of opposition members in the Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha staged a protest today (20) against the new education reforms, wearing black armbands, Sri Lanka Latest News reports.
The protesters gathered near Homagama Sathipola and marched from there to the Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha, displaying placards and wearing black armbands. They also reached the council meeting hall, where they chanted protest slogans.
