A meeting of opposition party leaders was held today at the Opposition Leader’s Office in Parliament under the leadership of Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa to discuss upcoming parliamentary matters.
During the meeting, attention was drawn to several key issues, including the government’s ongoing restrictions on opportunities afforded to the opposition in the House of Representatives and the Speaker’s continued failure to investigate the breaches of privilege raised by opposition members. The discussion also focused on how the forthcoming budget process should be conducted.
Participating in the discussions were opposition party leaders and representatives including Gayantha Karunathilaka, Ranjith Madduma Bandara, Sujeewa Senasinghe, J. C. Alawathuwala, Rohini Kaviratna, V. Radhakrishnan, Sujith Sanjaya Perera, Chamindrani Kiriella, Kader Mastan, D. V.
