The president breaks election law because he believes he is all-powerful. Today in parliament, the leader of the opposition stated, “Demonstration of democracy at the grass roots level, in my view, is the local government bodies currently provincial councils are inactive and has become an arm of the executive.” In light of this, not holding local elections is seen as deconstructing the democratic framework of the country.
