Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that in order to build a united Sri Lanka, everyone should come together regardless of race, religion, caste, and opportunism and prioritize the goal of building the country.
The opposition leader said that laws rejecting racism, communalism and religiosity should be adopted in the parliament and also said that it is essential to ensure trust among all sections of the population.
The leader of the opposition further said that differences in terms of politics and opinions should be respected, and when we have to work together as a country, we should put aside such debates. Addressing the all-party meeting held yesterday, opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said this.
