It is said that the police fired tear gas at the protestors in front of the Peradeniya Inn.
The protest march had been launched stating that the Social Media Censorship Act should be withdrawn immediately, PTA should be abolished, and free education, free health and forest degree shops should be withdrawn immediately.
The protesting students also state that Mahapola bursary instalments should be increased immediately according to the living burden.
