Samagi Jana Balavegaya Member of Parliament, Dr. Harsha De Silva has said that if the police come into conflict with him today (02), he will respond to them through his Twitter account.

“I have more than 3 lakh followers on Twitter. What if I bumped into the police and posted a twitter message? My Twitter goes everywhere in the world. If possible, let’s fight. Today the police and Twitter are coming. I don’t want to run into the police and struggle to tweet. If the police bump into me today, my Twitter will go all over the world. Let’s see what happens,” says the Sajaba MP.

Trade unions, mass organizations and opposition political parties have jointly organized a protest march in Colombo this afternoon under the theme ‘Let’s stand up against oppression and economic oppression, let’s fight for rights’. The protest march is scheduled to start today (02) at 03.00 pm in front of the Elphinstone Theatre, Maradana and it is said that it will go to Fort Railway Station.
