The Colombo Magistrate’s Court ordered the release of Wasantha Mudalige, the convener of the Inter-University Student Union, who was remanded under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Mr. Prasanna Alvis gave the decision.

Announcing the order, the Chief Magistrate stated that no offense under the Prevention of Terrorism Act was found against the suspect.

The magistrate said that the order will be published accordingly.
