The Department of Railways has announced the completion of reconstruction work on the Northern Railway Line, which was severely damaged by Cyclone Ditva.
According to the announcement, train services on the Northern Railway Line will resume operations between Colombo Fort and Kankesanthurai starting April 9.
Additionally, the Department confirmed that seat reservation facilities are now available for the train departing Mount Lavinia Railway Station to Kankesanthurai at 5:15 am today, as well as for the intercity express train running from Kankesanthurai to Mount Lavinia at 1:50 pm.
