One generator at the Lakvijaya Coal-fired Power Plant in Norochcholai has been shut down due to maintenance.

The Lakvijaya Coal-fired Power Plant in Norochcholai, which makes the largest contribution to Sri Lanka’s national power grid, consists of three main generators.
Each generator produces 300 megawatts of electricity, bringing the plant’s total contribution to the national grid to 900 megawatts.
However, as previously planned, one generator at the Lakvijaya Coal-fired Power Plant in Norochcholai was shut down this morning for maintenance.
