With Samagi Janbalaweiga Member of Parliament and Balangoda Constituency Organizer Ms. Talatha Athukorala stepping down from her position as a Member of Parliament, the representatives including the former Balangoda local government chairman of Samagi Janbalaweiga called an emergency meeting yesterday (21) evening where they unanimously decided that they would not leave Samagi Janbalaweiga and the President that he supports the candidate Mr. Sajith Premadasa. On that occasion, former Chairman of Balangoda Municipality (Sajabe) M.T. The group of municipal councillors including Rami, former chairman of Balangoda region (Sajabe) M.P. Nearly a hundred people representing the group of ex-ministers including Ratnasiri and Imbulpe region councillor Suranga Menik (Sajabe) were present.

They raised their hands and gave pledges and said that they will continue to be with the United People’s Power.

Later, the former chairperson held a press conference and said there was no problem with Balangoda Constituency when Mrs. Talatha Athukorala left.

Say that her departure is a good thing for the party and not a disadvantage. They further said that from now on they will appoint a Balangoda leader as an organizer and Mr. Sajith Premadasa will be given a great victory from the Balangoda constituency. Mantri Suranga Manik)
