The MP points out that it is not acceptable to announce a common candidate yesterday (08) by several parties who do not have any voting base.
Speaking to the media regarding the nomination of a common Tamil candidate by several political parties and organizations representing the North and Eastern Provinces, Member of Parliament Shanakkian Rasamanikkam said this yesterday.
“This common candidate is a work that the Tamil people do not want. The Tamil people have no interest in wanting a common candidate. One of the current candidates will become the president. There is also an opinion that he came forward for the needs of another candidate to prevent votes from going to someone else.”
