No Fuel Shortage in Sri Lanka, Says Minister Anil Jayantha; Blames Organized Groups for Creating Panic
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Professor Anil Jayantha, has assured that there is no shortage of fuel reserves in the country.

Speaking in Parliament today (1), he addressed concerns regarding the long queues observed at fuel stations. Minister Jayantha emphasized that these queues are not a result of an actual fuel shortage but rather the actions of certain organized groups attempting to create an artificial crisis.

He further stated that these groups are deliberately spreading misinformation to mislead the public and create unnecessary panic.

This statement comes amid growing public concern over fuel availability, with authorities urging citizens to remain calm and not fall victim to misinformation.
