NMRA chairman accept importing substandard medicine now MPs turn to decide on Keheliya  – Mujibur Rahman I Sri Lanka Latest News

Former Member of Parliament Mr. Mujibar Rahman stated in the press conference held today (31) at the office of the Leader of the Opposition that all 225 have had an opportunity to take a decision on whether to protect the welfare or protect the helpless patients.Sri Lanka Latest News

The former MP also said.

The people have to face many health problems that have arisen nowadays and the sick people who go to a hospital have lost their lives due to the wrong decisions taken by the health minister and the board of officials. The entire hospital system has been put in a difficult position due to the problems of inferior drugs brought to the country, lack of drugs, lack of health equipment, lack of lower staff including doctors. But as an opposition, the professionals in the health sector, including us, have pointed out these problems all the time, but we do not see how to show the solutions to those problems. When the issues were raised, the health minister made various statements and avoided them, therefore we as an opposition had to bring a motion of no confidence against the health minister.

We have been given days to debate it next week. Therefore, the 225 members of parliament who have a conscience have a responsibility to get a clear decision on this. take And they can decide whether they will take a decision to protect this corrupt health minister and other corrupt officials or otherwise take a decision to protect the lives of the helpless patients in the village because will they continue to protect this health minister or will the lives of more sick people of this country be taken? We remind you that it is the responsibility of all the 225 representatives of the parliament to decide whether to sacrifice. We see that everyone who has some kind of knowledge and sensitivity can see that there are many crises in the health sector.

Also, in every hospital today, there is a shortage of doctors, a shortage of staff, and a shortage of essential medicines. The Ministry of Health also admits that many crises like this have been exposed today and there is a shortage of more than two hundred kinds of medicines. Meanwhile, last week we saw the Director General of Health Asela Gunawardena come and say that there is no such thing as inferior medicine and it is not even made in the world, but yesterday we saw medicines The chairman of the regulatory commission, Professor D. Jayaratne, admitted that substandard medicines were brought. There now the Director General says that there is no such thing as inferior medicine, the professor tells us that there is such a thing. Now, who will take responsibility for the lost lives? Many lives have been lost over this drug issue. Some people have gone blind. Some people have succumbed to other diseases and become paralyzed. Who is responsible for this destruction, the minister?

Now the professor says that substandard drugs have been brought, that is a serious statement. I think no more evidence is needed to win the no confidence vote of Minister Keheliya Rambukwella. Also, that statement is enough to remove Minister Keheliya Rambukwella from his ministry. This professor’s statement confirms what we have said in the past and what the patients have said. If that is the case, we are confident that the MPs who have a conscience will vote for the motion of no confidence that we have brought next week to remove this corrupt minister and officials.

Also, we have seen that the government has started a program to protect the Minister of Lahilahia and for that the President has called the MPs in Pohottua to support him in winning Keheliya. The President is now in the position of protecting the corrupt ministers and we first said that after the President took over the office, his main action has been to protect the corrupt ministers and corrupt activities in the office.

Also, we know that the pharmaceutical government supply department is the one who primarily orders the drugs, and now its director has continued to go abroad. At the time when there is a shortage of medicines, the director is not in Sri Lanka, so it has become a big crisis for the workers to make decisions because it is the medicine supply department that orders when there is a shortage. Now he is always abroad. Entered now there have been errors and even in such a case the director is not in Sri Lanka where we see the health minister abroad and the director who orders medicines abroad. All the key decision makers are abroad. When the current director goes to the country, drugs will be lost, there is no way to make decisions, the next thing to do is to buy them suddenly, which will cost a lot of people’s tax money. A doubt has arisen whether he will do this work.

And so far, the government has entered into many deals. One of them is that after the Prime Minister’s visit to India, the Trincomalee Development Committee went and said that the entire Eastern Province will be developed together with India. If the deal has been signed, it has not been presented to the cabinet, nor has it been presented to the parliament, but it is clear that the president is using his executive power to force everything. As of the day before yesterday, information has been reported about solar power production with the Adani company in India. We know that the Cabinet has approved the signing of an agreement with two countries.
