Accordingly, Brigadier Shewanth Kulathunga of Sri Lanka Engineers, General Officer Commanding, 23 Division, Brigadier Mihidu Perera of Sri Lanka Light Infantry on foreign course, Brigadier Vipula Ihalage of Special Forces, General Officer Commanding, 58 Division, Brigadier Indrajith Vithanachchi of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Director, Directorate of Ordnance Services, Brigadier Manjula Kariyawasam of Sri Lanka Artillery, Director, Directorate of Staff Duties, Brigadier Chandimal Peiris of Special Forces, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Brigadier Nishshyanka Eriyagama of Special Forces, General Officer Commanding, 21 Division, Brigadier Mahinda Ranasingha of Special Forces, attached to PSD and Brigadier Wajira Welagedara of Gemunu Watch on foreign course were the nine senior brigadiers thus promoted to the rank of Major General.
