The Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited launched its newly established service product, ‘GOLD ROUTE’ at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) today.

The new service product has been launched with an aim to provide a ‘Premium Airport Experience’ for its valued passengers who travel through the Katunayake airport.

Previously, the airport offered only the Silk Route Service facility for Commercially Important Passengers on a payment basis which does not target the High-net-worth individuals.

Therefore, the ‘GOLD ROUTE’ was launched with the objective of serving the travel needs of the aviation and tourism industry and contributing to earning additional foreign currency for the country.

The unique feature of this service is that high-end passengers will be able to use an exclusive route to speed up the arrival and departure processes with a premium service experience.

At the Gold Route lounge, guests can experience a speedy check-in process including Customs, Immigration and Emigration, and all other formalities.

The GOLD ROUTE service facility at BIA will be offered to passengers at USD 200 (per arrival or departure) and the reservations could be made through  www. airport .lk

The new service facility was declared open at BIA with the participation of Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Nimal Siripala De Silva, Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited Major General (Rtd.) G A Chandrasiri, the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka P A Jayakantha, and the key officials representing other agencies.
