It is said that the officers of the new Election Commission appeared before the Supreme Court today as ordered by the Supreme Court on the 27th of last month.

As all the technical matters related to the case have been completed, it has been decided to call the petition again on the 24th.

Commenting on this, lawyer Sunil Watagala states that he is fully confident that the petition will be heard as it is a case to protect the basic rights of the people of the country and the court has accepted that the relevant technical matters have been completed.
