Nationwide Wave of Strikes Looms Over Salary Grievances – Sri Lanka Latest News”

The Joint Committee of Government Executive Officers says that today (02) and tomorrow (03) trade unions will engage in an action to report sick leave based on several demands including the salary issue. Sri Lanka Latest News

At the same time, the president of the association, Mr. KL Udayasiri, said that an agitation campaign will also be held in Colombo today.

Meanwhile, the University Non-Academic Employees’ Union says that they will continue to strike from 12.00 noon today based on several professional issues including salary disparities.

Its press secretary, Mr. Saman Kariyawasam, said that although he informed the authorities on several occasions regarding his demands, no solutions have been received so far.
