Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered today (07) to remand Jayani Natasha Edirisuriya and Bruno Divakara, who is said to have supported her, until the 21st June.

The magistrate issued this order stating that the suspects will be further remanded in custody as it is revealed that there may be a public disturbance if these suspects are granted bail and the investigations are not yet over.

The Criminal Investigation Department has submitted facts to the court that the second suspect has worked to distribute the statement of the suspect Natasha Edirisuriya, who has made a statement in a way that harms, insults and disrespects the Buddhist philosophy in a program called “Modabhimana”, through the Internet.
