Namal proposes two names to the Minister of Environment for the post of Chief Executive of the Bureau of Mines! Minister chooses one name!

The media has reported that Pohottu Party Member of Parliament Mr. Namal Rajapaksa has proposed two names for the position of Chief Executive Officer of GSMB Technical Services (Pvt) Ltd, which operates under the Bureau of Geological Survey and Mines.

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapakse has submitted this request in writing to Nasir Ahmed, the minister in charge of environment subject, in a letter with the heading of parliamentary letter.

Accordingly, Namal Rajapaksa has proposed the names of MHDP Karunaratne and Ishara Hemantha for the respective positions.

Out of the two, Ishara Hemantha was a Pradeshiya Sabha member as well as a private secretary of DV Chanaka.

On August 06, MP Namal Rajapaksa forwarded his request to Environment Minister Nasir Ahmed proposing the names of both of them and the Environment Minister has appointed MHDP Karunaratne for the relevant position.

The appointment letter has been issued on August 10.
