The Principal of Nalanda College, Colombo Tilak Wattugewa says that he will file defamation law suit against the National Television through lawyers demanding compensation of 500 million rupees for the completely false news that was carried out about him in the night news broadcast yesterday (16).
He is the president of the School Cricket Association and is currently in India for an official purpose of the association.
However, yesterday’s national television news broadcast emphasized that the president of the school cricket association was away during the school cricket awards ceremony. News reports also said that he got up during the ceremony because he did not get a front-row seat.
