The dead is H.G. Himali Priyadarshini Weerasinghe is a mother of two children,a resident of Kosgoda Boralukatiya South.
The deceased had previously had a contact lens inserted in her eye at the Colombo National Eye Hospital and due to an allergic reaction in her eye after the surgery, she was again shown to the doctors of the eye hospital the day before (4).
According to the doctor’s orders, she was admitted to the hospital on the same day to undergo surgery on the same eye, and she underwent surgery yesterday (5), according to hospital sources.
The relatives of the family say that she lost consciousness after the operation.
