The opposition leader said that in appointing Podujana Peramuna Secretary General Sagara Kariyawasam as the chairman of the selection committee that was appointed to find the reasons for the country’s bankruptcy, the selection committee can become a talk shop and the Basil Rajapaksa-led group will be saved through this.Sri Lanka Latest News

Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, said that even though Basil Rajapaksa’s supporters tried to postpone the passing of the Anti-Corruption Act by another 2 weeks, it was passed anyway and they are trying again and again to get their henchmen to cover up their mistakes during this temporary break.

The opposition leader said this while addressing the executive council of the opposition today (10).
