Anuradhapura SJB MP Suranga Ratnayake stated that Ranil Wickremesinghe had deliberately worked to defeat Sajith Premadasa in the last presidential election, aiming to secure a victory for Anura Kumara Dissanayake. He emphasized that if Wickremesinghe had not taken such actions, Sajith Premadasa would have emerged victorious, and the country would now have an SJB-led government.
MP Ratnayake further highlighted the importance of the SJB uniting with the UNP, while stressing that any collaboration must ensure justice for Sajith Premadasa.
