MP Gunathilaka Rajapaksa Withdraws Assault Complaint Against MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage

Kandy District Member of Parliament Gunathilaka Rajapaksa’s police complaint that MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage assaulted him during the ruling party meeting held at the Presidential Secretariat has been withdrawn yesterday (01).Sri Lanka Latest News

After this incident, MP Gunathilaka Rajapaksa wrote and his son Nilupul Rajapaksa had gone to the Fort Police and filed this complaint.

Later, the Fort Police recorded the statements of three councillors regarding this incident.

These statements were recorded from the MPs who were standing nearby at the time of the alleged incident.

Meanwhile, Kandy District Member of Parliament Mahindananda Aluthgamage said on the 14th of last month that legal action would be taken against MP Gunathilaka Rajapaksa for making false accusations through the media that he had been attacked and injured.

Mahindananda Aluthgama Member of Parliament has now boarded the platform to support the current President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential election.
