It has been reported that MP Gayantha Karunathilaka was called before the Commission in connection with an investigation regarding the acquisition of a building in the Rajagiriya area on a rental basis for the operations of the Ministry of Agriculture during previous governments.
He had served as a Cabinet Minister and as the former Minister of Mass Media at the time relevant to the incident.
Gayantha Karunathilaka arrived at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption at around 9 a.m. today and left after providing statements for approximately two hours.
