Professor G.L. Peiris questioned in the Parliament whether the government is preparing to bring the Supreme Court judges to the Parliament and question them by raising privilege issues.

He questioned this while commenting on the privilege issues raised by Mr. Premnath C. Dolawatta and Mr. Shehan Semasinghe.

He said that such incidents have happened in history and pointed out that they did not bring good to the government and the country.

He also stated that in his speech, MP Dolawatta made 3 criticisms regarding the court decision, and that it is an insult to the court.
