The Ministry of Education has confirmed that a complaint regarding a Grade 6 English language module was found to be valid, following an internal investigation. The complaint alleged that the introduction of the module appeared to reference the name of an inappropriate website.
The Grade 6 English language module was prepared by the National Institute of Education, and the printing process has already been completed.
As a result, the Ministry of Education has decided to suspend the distribution of the module with immediate effect and has launched a formal investigation into the matter.
The Ministry further stated that a complaint is expected to be lodged with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) tomorrow.
