Minister Sunil Handunnetti, appearing on Derana 360, instructed journalist Kavindu Karunaratne not to question him regarding his asset and liability declaration, which he had already submitted.
The Minister further stated that if there are any concerns about the declaration, a complaint should be filed with the Bribery Commission. He emphasized that he would not permit the media to conduct its own inquiry into his assets.
Minister Handunnetti also remarked that an asset and liability declaration is not a document for the public to question “as if they found it on the road.”
During the program, the Minister refused to respond to the questions raised on the matter.
