The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for multi-day fishing vessels and marine vessels sailing in the South East Bay of Bengal.
The announcement will be valid till 3 pm tomorrow (08).
At present, the turbulent nature of the atmosphere has developed around the southeastern Bay of Bengal sea area.
The Department of Meteorology announced that the situation will develop into a low pressure zone and then a cyclone in the next few days.
Therefore, the fishing and shipping community has been informed not to sail in the sea areas between 5-10 North latitudes, 90-100 East longitudes, 1-4 North latitudes and 85-92 East longitudes in the next few days.
Accordingly, the Department of Meteorology also informs the people engaged in fishing activities in those areas to come to the land or a safe place immediately.
