Members of Pohottuwa stated today at a press conference that there is a possibility that former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa will return to Sri Lanka and seek the position of Prime Minister. This was revealed last week by ‘Mawrata’.
They stated that if this occurs, Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa will undoubtedly be appointed Prime Minister and that he still has 69 lakh electoral votes.
However, we made a special announcement last week through Mawrata newspaper that Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is ready to enter parliament from the national list and that Mrs. Sita Arambepola is willing to resign as a member of parliament to do so.
Following that, we revealed that there is a plan to appoint Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa as Prime Minister by demonstrating a majority in Parliament.
As a result, the Pohottu councillors confirmed the information we revealed at today’s press conference.
