That re-registration is being done targeting the Tamil people in Kirulapana, Wellawatta, Dehiwala, Bambalapitiya, Narahenpita, Kotahena, Mattakkuliya and Modara police areas and all the registration documents are given in Sinhala language and they are violating the constitution of the country and they are giving those documents only in Sinhala language. The opposition leader said that there is a system of registering people and through that system, the program of implementing the location of people should be implemented in the civil system and injustice should not be done by using a police system for that.
The opposition leader said that although it is important to reduce crime as well as the national security of the country, if any unfair system is being implemented, if the police does something like this through a transparent discussion without debates, it must be right and it is democratic.
