It is also unique that the people who have come together in this way are who have held many important positions including organizer positions in the Sri Lanka Freedom Party for nearly two decades. Among the local politicians who joined this way is Mr Mawanella Withanage Padmasena, who was the chairman and vice-chairman of the Bope Poddala local council in Galle Akmeemana constituency. He represented the Bope Poddala local council for more than 24 years and worked as a secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party for 51 years from 1973 to 2024.
Also, Mr Anil Priyadarshana Jagoda, who was the chief organizer of the Galle Akmeemana Sri Lanka Freedom Party and a former chairman of the Akmeemana local council, today met the opposition leader Mr Sajith Premadasa and joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya to express his support to him.
And the senior councillor of Galle Akmeemana local council Mr P. H. I.Sandaruwan also met opposition leader Sajith Premadasa today and joined Samagi Jana Balawegaya to express their support for him.
