It has been reported that the majestic elephant known as Kali, who had been roaming the Mollikulam forest within the Wilpattu Kallaru Reserve, has been found dead.
According to sources, the Department of Wildlife Conservation has launched an investigation to determine the cause of Kali’s death.
Meanwhile, environmentalists suspect that the elephant may have been shot, as they believe there could be bullets lodged in Kali’s body.
