Mr. Saman Sri Rathnayake, Director General of the Election Commission, said that since the election is a constitutional requirement, Finance Ministry Secretary Mr. Mahinda Siriwardena has informed the Finance Committee that the necessary money for election would be provided intermittently.
He said that the election does not require money all at once, receiving it intermittently is sufficient.
