Former fast bowler Lasith Malinga has been appointed as the Sri Lankan team’s coaching consultant for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup.
According to cricket sources, Malinga is set to provide his consultancy expertise during the preliminary round matches in which Sri Lanka will participate.
He is scheduled to officially join the Sri Lankan squad from the 5th of Month.
With his extensive experience in international cricket and proven skills, particularly in the T20 format, the primary aim of this appointment is to strengthen Sri Lanka’s bowlers during the initial stages of the tournament.
