Due to the heavy rain in some parts of the island, the National Building Research Organization has issued a landslide warning notice to 17 Regional Secretariat Divisions in four districts today 14th evening.
Accordingly, Ella, Haliela, Haputale and Haldummulla Regional Secretariat Divisions, Udunuwara, Yatinuvara and Udapalyatha Regional Secretariat Divisions in Kandy District, Yatianthota, Kegalle, Galigamuwa, Dehiowita, Warakapola and Mawanella Regional Secretariat Divisions in Kegalle District District. The landslide warning announcement has also been issued for the regional secretariat divisions of Kalawana, Imbulpe, and Balangoda in Ratnapura district.
The National Building Research Organization says the landslide warning announcement issued today on the evening of the 14th will remain in effect until 4:00 pm on the 15th.
