The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued a landslide red alert for three locations across three districts in Sri Lanka’s Central Province.
The alert is in effect for:
- Ududumbara in the Kandy District
- Nildandahinna and Walapane in the Nuwara Eliya District
Issued today (6th January) at 12 noon, the alert will remain valid for the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, landslide warnings have been issued for three additional districts, urging residents to remain vigilant. Furthermore, warnings have been issued for another four districts to stay alert for potential landslide risks.
