Kotagala’s principal who assaulted a student for not paying 300 rupees was transferred.

In connection with an incident of assaulting a schoolgirl in Kotagala, Nuwara Eliya, the principal of that school has been transferred.

It was reported that a 10th grade student was beaten by the concerned principal with a broom handle.

This happened based on an incident of collecting an amount of 300 rupees.

The Governor of the Central Province, Mr. Lalith U.Gamage, said that the principal involved in the incident has now been transferred to the regional office.
