When the appeal petition filed by Justice Minister Wijayadasa Rajapaksa was heard, the date was set as follows.
The petition was heard before the High Court of Civil Appeals bench consisting of Mr. Gihan Kulatunga and Mr. Frank Gunawardena.
Mr. Kuvera de Soyza, the President’s lawyer who appeared for Mr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa, presented the facts before the court.
After lengthy submissions, further hearing of the petition was adjourned till tomorrow.
