According to police sources, a special force consisting of 1500 police officers including 3000 security personnel has been called to the Mirihana Headquarters Police due to the celebration to be held by the active members of the struggle at the Mirihana Jubilee Pillar to mark the one year anniversary of the struggle.

On March 31, 2022, a protest will be held to mark the one-year anniversary of the ousting of former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
