Is there any connection between the Rajapakse family and Thilini Priyamali, who cheated millions?

Responding to reports circulating on social media in recent days that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his family members are having relations with the owner of Thiko Group Private Company, Thilini Priyamali, the office of the former President states that the reports are false and baseless.

Commenting on a photograph showing Mrs. Shiranthi Rajapaksa participating in an event attended by Thilini Priyamali, the office says that it was a photograph taken in March last year when Mrs. Rajapaksa participated in a film production and music show launch event.

The Chairman of the Sri Lanka Film Corporation had invited Mrs. Rajapaksa to this event, which was attended by senior politicians and artists.

Pointing out that there is no relationship between Thilini Priyamali and Mrs. Rajapaksa or any of the former president’s family, the former president’s office condemns the actions of some people who are circulating this picture.
