Is customer is the king or no more a king…!

Now everyone knows about the incident happened at Bambalapitiya House of Fashion famous textile store. Therefore, we no longer have any moral advantage from not mentioning the name of the relevant institution. However, if mentioning the name of that company causes any damage to their reputation, we first of all apologize for it. Also, we request that you, the reader, not agree 100% with this opinion regarding the House of Fashion textile store. We have seen instances where they work as very friendly staff. Therefore, you have to decide whether or not to carry our feelings about them further in this matter.

The latest situation of this incident is reported that two security guards working at the House of Fashion store were accused by a businessman. We do not know how the accusation was made, whether he scolded or said something offensive. But we are told that he has said something. It is reported that there was a quarrel with this incident and it escalated into a conflict. In this conflict, we see how several employees of the House of Fashion come together and attack him. We see him coming to attack these people too. In this incident, the accusation has now been made against the employees of the House of Fashion store. Employees are those who do their duty. They have absolutely no right to attack their customers. It is their responsibility to be friendly with customers.

We don’t know what this customer’s behaviour is like. Even if a customer has no corporate responsibility, they have a human responsibility to treat the employees of this company as human beings. We don’t know if they did or not. But one of the things we see in many places is how some people who go to big organizations threaten, accuse and make them uncomfortable. These workers are working here to earn money for their living. But they are also human beings and it is a matter that we should all keep in mind. It is a sad fact that many people often forget such things. We have seen in some cases how some people work by putting employees in a very low position. But we don’t know if that happened here or not.

Also, we see in many organizations how the employees of those organizations leave their customers in a tizzy, make them uncomfortable and do not help them. We are still unable to come to a preconceived determination as to how this incident happened. But we can see one thing. In the recent past, textile stores like No Limit and Fashion Bug have faced a lot of accusations. If such an incident happened at their hands, some politicians are waiting to relate it on racism. We have seen how they incited racism and completely demolished textile shops and certain businesses. But we do not believe that it is fair work. Because if a country runs businesses based on race, religion and caste, it will become a very serious problem. As far as we know it should not be.

Whoever the businessman is, he is a businessman. An employee is an employee no matter who he is. A customer is a customer no matter who he is. It is our belief that we have dealt with all this with care, with interest in all of this, and with all of this willingly. If not, conflicts are likely to escalate and become worse. Such was the case with this business. Legal measures are being taken in this regard. The employees of the House of Fashion store have filed a complaint with the police that a person came and assaulted them. The customer has come through a lawyer and has now surrendered to the police. The law enforcement work is being done in that way.

The businesses of a country are the economic strength of that country. Foreigners especially come to such stores. The main target customers of those businesses are foreigners. In this way, if the employees of the businesses that target foreigners act in such an undisciplined way, these businesses are likely to collapse. And due to such matters, our tourism industry is also likely to be damaged. Also, customers who go to such places to buy textiles have a responsibility, if they think that they are only losing that business reputation, it is wrong. What will be lost is the reputation of the Sri Lankan tourism industry rather than the reputation of the House of Fashion.

The reason for that is that many people come to a preconceived conclusion that Sri Lankans are in this situation now, considering the fact that they often go to the market and consider this kind of conflict to be far-reaching, the way they take sticks and attack shown on social networks. The reason for that is that Sri Lanka, which had a very high level of hospitality, has been hurt by the current economic crisis, and they think that Sri Lankans are suffering a lot. That is why we are giving you hints about a dangerous crisis that a country has to face in such a situation.

If we want to move forward as a country, we should be more careful in such business conflicts. Also, if this happened in another store even if it was not possible, we should also talk about how it would be linked to racism. Because such a thing can happen tomorrow, because racism is a ladder of politicians in our country, a bridge built for them to cross, it is impossible for someone to take such a bridge tomorrow and turn it into the gate of their dreams of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever it is, we know that tomorrow will not be so pretty. Therefore, we believe that this will cause the House of Fashion not to collapse, consumer confidence not to collapse, and the tourism industry not to collapse.
