It has been revealed that investigations into the controversial lease of a massive building in Rajagiriya, owned by the family of popular actress Sabitha Perera, have been concluded. The building was rented during the previous Yahapalana government for several crores of rupees on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, resulting in a significant financial loss to the government.

Reports indicate that the names of several influential politicians and a considerable number of officials involved in facilitating this lease have now been exposed.

According to the findings of the investigation, it has been confirmed that a major financial fraud was committed in connection with this rental. The investigation teams have reportedly decided to file legal action against all those involved, irrespective of their positions or status.

The ‘Mawrata’ newspaper has learned that these cases are scheduled to be filed in the coming days.
